일치와 화법 두 번째 시간!!

 

 

 

화법의 전환

 

She said to me, "I am very happy now."

She told me she was very happy then.

 

 

화법을 전환하는 순서와 방법

1. Comma와 Question mark를 없앤다.
2. 전달동사를 알맞게 바꾼다. (said to → told)
3. 전달하는 입장에서 피전달문의 인칭을 바꾼다. (I → she)
4. 피전달문의 시제를 바꾼다. (am → was)
5. 형용사나 부사를 전달하는 입장에 맞도록 고친다.
   now → then
   this → that
   here → there
   ago → before
   today → that day
   next week (year) → the next week (year)
   tomorrow → the next day (the following day) 
   yesterday → the day before (the previous day)
   last night → the night before (the previous night)

 

 

평서문의 전달

 

전달동사 say  → say  /  say to → tell 로 바꾸고, 그 외의 동사는 그대로!!

 

He said, "This boy is very honest."

He said (that) that boy was very honest.

 

She said to him, "I met your father."

She told him (that) she had met his father.

 

 

의문문의 전달

 

1) 의문사가 있는 의문문 : 전달동사를 ask로 바꾸고, 피전달문을 <의문사+주어+동사> 순서로 배열

 

He said to her, "Where do you live?"

He asked her where she lived.

 

I said to him, "Who wrote the letter?"

I asked him who had wirtten the letter.

 

2) 의문사가 없는 의문문 : 전달동사를 ask로 바꾸고, 피전달문을 <if (또는 whether)+주어+동사> 순서로 배열

 

He said to me, "Is this your book?"

He asked me if that was my book.

 

She said to him, "May I use your cellphone?"

She asked him if she might use his cellphone.

 

3) 명령문의 전달 : 전달동사를  tell, ask, order, advise, beg 등으로 바꾸고, 목적어 뒤에는 to부정사를 쓴다.

 

He said to me, "Please close the window."

He asked me to close the window.

 

4) 감탄문의 전달 : 전달동사를  cry, shout 등으로 바꾸고 감탄문 어순을 그대로 쓰거나, very를 보충하여 평서문으로 변경한다. 

 

He said, "What a pretty girl she is!"

- He cried out what a pretty girl she was.

- He cried out that she was a very pretty girl.

 

 

 

 

 

 

책 한 권을 끝내기까지 얼마 남지 않았다. 

4~5챕터 정도 남았는데, 마지막까지 힘내서 마무리하기!!

 

성문기초영문법 공부가 끝나면 헷갈리는 부분이 생길 때마다 옆에 두고 자주 자주 들춰봐야겠다.
